Agendia Announces Colorectal Cancer Collaboration with AstraZeneca and The Netherlands Cancer Institute
Agendia announced it has partnered with AstraZeneca and The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) to accelerate the development of targeted therapies for colorectal cancer patients. The announcement marks a unique collaboration between Agendia, developer of the “MammaPrint” breast cancer molecular diagnostic test, a major research-based pharmaceutical company and a leading national cancer institute to tackle a cancer that results in approximately 500,000 deaths annually in Europe and the United States.

Agendia Hires David Macdonald as Chief Operating Officer, Mark Willig as Executive VP of North American Sales, and Doug Bradley as Vice President of Global Marketing
Agendia announced the hiring of David Macdonald as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Mark Willig as Executive Vice President of North American Sales, and Doug Bradley as Vice President of Global Marketing. Macdonald has been with Agendia for the past eight months in a consulting role and will continue to be responsible for laboratory operations, research and development, product support, information technology and U.S. human resources. Willig brings with him a rich background of executive leadership experience in a variety of commercial roles and will oversee all sales activity in North America. Bradley will manage all strategic and tactical marketing activities.

Agendia Receives Fifth Clearance for Industry Leading MammaPrint Assay
Agendia announced that the company has received its fifth U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for MammaPrint®, its widely used breast cancer recurrence assay. The new clearance is comprised of two additional Agilent Microarray scanners and two Agilent Bioanalyzers, expanding laboratory capacity to handle the increasing number of MammaPrint, TargetPrint® and BluePrint® test requests.

Agendia & Collaborators Publish Key MammaPrint Paper in Nature Cell Biology
Agendia has identified a major role for TSPYL5, one of its MammaPrint breast cancer prognosis genes, in the genesis of breast cancer. The study entitled: “TSPYL5 suppresses p53 levels and function by physical interaction with USP7”, was published today in Nature Cell Biology, one of the foremost scientific journals.

Agendia Publishes Compelling First Independent Validation Study of Colon Cancer Recurrence Test
In collaboration with a number of institutes, Agendia has published the first independent validation study of its colon cancer recurrence test “ColoPrint” in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. ColoPrint significantly improves prognostic accuracy over assessment solely based on pathologic factors and microsatellite instability in patients with stage II and III colorectal cancer. In combination with classical pathological criteria, ColoPrint facilitates the identification of stage II patients who may be safely managed without chemotherapy.
