MammaPrint, along with all the tests by Agendia, is done on the patient’s untreated specimen and gives you a result that is not dependent on any treatment regimen (i.e. hormonal or chemotherapy). • Definitive Results: The SYMPHONY™ signature development process began by identifying two groups of women: those who had arecurrence within five years following surgery and those who were cancer free at five years. The entire humangenome of 25,000 genes was analyzed for both groups, and the resulting differences in gene expression werecaptured. What’s more significant, is that none of the women in either group were treated with either chemo or hormonal therapy.
